Applicants are assessed based on the following:
- Impact
- The current success of your business
- Potential as an entrepreneur
The fellowship shall be awarded to those deemed to have the greatest potential for a positive future impact on society.

FAQs
What is the format of the award?
The award will be a 2 round assessment. As part of your application, you are asked to submit information about your business background and experience. If you are shortlisted, you will be asked to answer more detailed questions around your personal goals, challenges, motivations and opportunities. Your responses will be assessed against our framework for who we believe presents the greatest potential future impact through entrepreneurship. As an organisation, we seek the entrepreneurs we believe will benefit most from involvement in our network.
Those who we deem as suitable potential candidates for the award shall be short-listed, and after an additional video assessment round, those selected for the award shall be informed.
Who is eligible to apply for the Maverick NEXT Impact Award?
The award is open to entrepreneurs under 30, driven by a desire to positively impact the world while becoming fulfilled and happy individuals.
What do the winners of the award get?
Those awarded the fellowship will receive a ticket to the NEXT Impact Experience, happening March 2027, along with a 12-month membership to Maverick NEXT. Maverick NEXT is a private community for entrepreneurs under 30. They receive mentorship, teaching from, and access to over 100 Maverick Entrepreneurs, who volunteer their time to help develop the next generation of impact-driven entrepreneurs.
When is the deadline for entries?
The current deadline for entries is August 30th, 2026, at 11:59pm PST.
How do I apply for the Maverick NEXT Impact Award?
To apply for the Maverick NEXT Impact Award, please complete the application form, here.
Can I apply for the award more than once?
No. Applications are limited to one per person.
Can I team up with other people for the award?
No. Applications are assessed on an individual basis. If you have a business partner or co-founder who qualifies to apply, they are welcome to apply. Your applications will be considered and assessed separately. There is a chance both, or only one of you may be selected as recipients for the award.
How will the recipients of the award be chosen?
The award recipients will be chosen based on the potential impact we believe the entrepreneur could have over the next 20 years. We are selecting award recipients based upon their success as an entrepreneur, and the benefit we believe they could receive from our mentorship.
Will there be any travel expenses covered for the award?
For the NEXT Impact experience, all accommodation and participation in activities is included in the award. Flight expenses are not currently included in the award, though please do not let this deter your application. If flight expenses become an obstruction for your participation, we can discuss with award winners potential remedies to solve any issues that arise with them.
